Hearst Magazines was looking for a new approach to providing magazine subscriptions digitally through their apps. We were tasked with taking a new, fresh, out of the box approach to the digital representation of their magazine brands with an emphasis on interactive experiences.
We designed an exciting, highly interactive design template to be implemented across the company’s 19 magazines. The user experience was gamified in many areas creating a deeper link between the magazine and the consumer. It also brought in significant sponsorship opportunities for their major advertising partners. Although the design as a whole was not implemented, Hearst did implement several of the interactive and gamified elements.
I designed the user experience and managed the project from beginning to end.
