Expedia was looking for an interactive experience for their rewards customers aimed at highlighting the program benefits and to generate incremental revenue from new travel and event bookings. We designed and developed a 15 week virtual travel experience where the user creates an avatar and sends them around the world. Throughout the experience the users were presented with brand messaging and offers for travel and excursion experiences.
Over 500,000 user sign ups with a majority coming back weekly for the entirety of the game. Generated greater than $5 million in incremental revenue directly tied to the experience.
I coordinated on the design, created the game play experience, led the development team, project management, and client management for this project.
